With great music, drama, and storytelling, kids learn about God’s love for them every week in a dynamic way.
Heartland Children’s Ministry
This exists to connect kids to Christ and partner with parents so that together, we can help them grow up to be fully devoted and fully delighted followers of Him.

Our Sunday School program offers infants through 4th graders more than loving care during the church services. It is our desire that our program serves as an extension of your home. Our classrooms are staffed with a combination of child-familiar caregivers and a rotating staffing of parents whose children regularly use this ministry.

9am Service: Birth through 6th Grade, BLUR (7th-9th grade Jr. High)
10:45am Service: Birth through 6th Grade, SURGE (10th-12th grade High School)
12:15am Service: Birth through 5-year-old (pre-K) only
We Care About Parents!
We want to provide you with some quiet time to connect with God without distractions. That’s why we offer:
• A secure check-in and check-out procedure so you can enjoy the service without worry. Our computerized check-in system saves time, increases classroom security and allows us to reach you in the event your child needs you during the service.
• Screened workers. As SMCC continues to grow in numbers, we continue to give quality Christian education by loving teachers and workers who have gone through a screening process that includes a national background check.
Infants: Birth up to 12 months
Our Infant Nursery is staffed by caring providers who are there to play with, care for and nurture your infant. That way you and those around you can enjoy a worship experience without interruption.
1 Year
This room is a fun transition room for babies developing a more aggressive play routine than our infant nursery. We have age-appropriate toys, fun videos, and caring childcare providers to share with them that Jesus is their forever friend. This room is also staffed with familiar childcare providers and parents.
2 Years
Time in the toddler room is divided into three areas: free play, snack time and circle time. We believe they are never too young to start learning about Jesus!
Pre-school ages 3 thru Pre-K
Kids get to jump around, sing fun worship songs, and learn that Jesus loves them through creative story telling. They enjoy a fun and interactive curriculum that includes a Bible Story, an in-class activity and a take-home activity for parents to participate in.
Elementary K-thru 4th grade
After playing at cool activity stations, kids gather to worship God through music led by our talented volunteer worship leaders. We then bring the Bible to life through storytelling and drama, giving kids a greater understanding of God and His Word. We end our time in small groups where kids learn how to apply biblical truth to their lives.
